Sales are "AS IS, No RETURNS, No SERVICE, No WARRANTY". This concession is intended as a way to offer lower prices to buyers who may not benefit from the protections or who don't want them, preferring a lower price.
A $40 Extended Warranty is a "My Lifetime Full Service and Parts Replacement" warranty. At 73 years old "My Lifetime Warranty" is good for as long as I last or can hobble to my workshop. Other than as shown here or verbally agreed, it won't be in writing. You'll have to trust that I'll do right by you as long as you do right by me.
Damage caused by the buyer is not covered. I do my best to determine the cause taking any blame on myself or the bike if there's any doubt.
In case of a frame failure: What was the cause? What was the rider doing at the time of the failure? In any kind of clear or even murky circumstances, if the frame simply failed during some reasonable time after purchase, I replace the bike if possible or give a refund if not (I might not have the same size or a replacement at that particular time). In the final analysis, it depends on how long the bike was owned and how much use was gotten out of it.
A warranty is no better than the person behind it. I will go to great lengths and extra expense to resolve a problem in your favor if both of us are seeking a reasonable resolution as honest people do. IF I've failed to adequately explain anything, please let me know?
The Golden Rule: "Do unto others as you would also have them do unto you", is my credo. It's a timeless principle that bears renewed thought from time-ro-time.
Things don't always go perfectly, stuff happens.
Be assured, I value your trust. I'll work to earn AND retain it. All you need to do is talk to me. And there are those who will vouch for that.
My cell number is posted on all my ads & on my website (901-497-0298).
We screen our calls and have no way of knowing who calls unless they speak or leave a message. My ads offer an alternative way to e-mail and reach me.
I welcome the opportunity to correct problems related to work I've performed irrespective of any warranty, written or implied, because I value customer relationships & my reputation.
I get no satisfaction from taking advantage and go out of my way to avoid such "opportunities". The grief that usually follows isn't worth it. Lew
